Pregis is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure that production processes run efficiently and meet quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating production teams, coordinating schedules, verifying timesheets, monitoring workflows, and troubleshooting issues to maintain productivity. Additionally, they will enforce safety protocols, ensure compliance with company policies, and collaborate with other departments to optimize production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor, and maintain safety and good housekeeping practices in all areas of the department.
  • Verify that finished product meets customer quality expectations and take corrective action if it does not.
  • Audit standard work procedures and enforce adherence to standard work instructions to ensure product meets quality standards.
  • Manage and identify improvements to production outputs, scrap rates, and change-over times.
  • Work with production planning to optimize run order efficiency and maximize production performance.
  • Review production orders to ensure packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets customer specifications.
  • Manage daily manpower by assigning and delegating work.
  • Direct, monitor, and assist in the training of all employees under their supervision.
  • Engage with employees and positively manage the quality of work and performance of each employee.
  • Maintain, verify, and approve time for hourly employees.
  • Appraise, develop, and promote employees under their supervision, including recommending raises.
  • Accurately complete daily production paperwork.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and GED required.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing, film experience preferred.
  • Effective communication as a supervisor, coach, and trainer while providing individual and technical leadership to direct reports as well as management.
  • Experience in supervising in a Lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced management and managing multiple shifts.
  • Strong technical ability; able to troubleshoot and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching employees.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Sitting (1-2 hours).
  • Standing (Constantly - up to 12 hours).
  • Walking up/downstairs (several times daily).
  • Walking (Constantly up to 12 hours).
  • Lifting/Carrying (regularly up to 12 hours - a minimum of 75lbs).
