About the Role
Altec Industries is a leading manufacturer of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment. We are seeking an experienced Assembler-2nd Shift to join our team in a production role.

Job Summary
As an Assembler-2nd Shift, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and installing vehicle and/or chipper components to required specifications. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
• Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment
• Read and interpret schematics (blueprints) and work orders to complete tasks accurately
• Operate basic hand tools and specialty equipment as required
• Learn and operate all equipment within the work area (cell)
• Perform rework as necessary to meet quality standards
• Support APS initiatives and participate in RCI events as needed
• Move between work areas to support production needs and cross-train in other roles
• Install unit vehicle and/or chipper components and accessories
• Test installed components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and shop tools/equipment
• Record daily time accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions
• Basic computer skills desired
• Vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics desired
• General knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or manufacturing processes desired
