Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A Walking Floor Driver to join our Transportation team at Ecology Auto Parts, Inc.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting materials using Walking Floor trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and maintaining the condition of the trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Walking Floor Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.
  • Inspect and maintain the condition of the Walking Floor Trailers, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Load and unload materials in a secure and efficient manner, following proper procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients to ensure smooth transportation operations.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (REQUIRED) with endorsements (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Class A Driver, with a focus on Walking Floor trailer operations (REQUIRED)
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery deadlines
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to operate the vehicle; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
Compensation
