Job Title: Travel CT Technologist

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a skilled Travel CT Technologist to join their team in Honolulu, Hawaii.

About the Role

This is a 13-week contract position, working 40 hours per week, with 8-hour night shifts. As a Travel CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages, assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness, and serving as a training resource.

Responsibilities
  • Performing CT scans and interpreting results to assist in patient diagnosis
  • Locating and recording internal elements of the body, identifying anomalies indicative of disease or injury
  • Adjusting equipment and calming patients to eliminate test artifacts
  • Monitoring patients for physical and emotional changes
  • Evaluating test results for clarity and accuracy
  • Reviewing tests with peers and physicians
  • Informing physicians of preliminary findings and distributing completed test results
  • Maintaining patient charts, entering diagnosis and billing codes, and logging data into patient information systems
  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment and workspace
  • Recognizing equipment malfunctions and adjusting or referring for repair
  • Instructing patients in pretest preparation and explaining procedures
  • Maintaining equipment according to Infection Control procedures
  • Maintaining technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs
  • Administering contrast agents under the guidance and approval of site Radiologists
  • Maintaining current Permits to Practice in all states where services are performed
  • Performing equipment quality checks and troubleshooting problems
  • Following quality assurance guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality
Requirements
  • Clinical Radiographer background with a minimum of 2 years CT clinical experience
  • Valid ARRT license, registered in CT
  • VIA experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner
  • Flexibility, reliability, and sound judgment and initiative
