As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing and assessing the validity of qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative tests and examinations using automated instrumentation or manual methods, adhering to established procedures.
  • Conduct quality assurance procedures, including quality control testing, instrument function checks, and calibrations, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Assess the accuracy and validity of test results by applying knowledge of scientific principles and identifying potential causes for irregular findings.
  • Maintain records of tests and examinations, and provide accurate results for patient care inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot instruments and resolve technical problems, documenting corrective actions and reporting issues to the department Supervisor or Manager as needed.
  • May assist in training students and laboratory personnel in diagnostic test principles and techniques.
  • Perform phlebotomy according to established protocols and provide excellent customer service to laboratory customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • ASCP, AMT, or HEW certification, with the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
