FLSA Status: Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary role of the CCS Superintendent is to assist the Project Manager in executing projects. The ultimate aim is to ensure projects are completed on schedule, with outstanding quality, and within budget.

CORE DUTIES:

  • Follow directives from the Project Manager for daily task execution.
  • Help manage the flow of materials from suppliers and within the job site, ensuring timely delivery, correct type and quantity, and proper staging.
  • Assist in directing subcontractors in their daily activities and maintaining a look-ahead schedule.
  • Review and assess the quality of work from Champion's factories and subcontractors.
  • Create punch lists and coordinate their completion with subcontractors.
  • Assist in coordinating and resolving warranty work from Champion's factory and subcontractors.
  • Perform minor warranty work and possess experience in manufactured home production/repair.
  • Maintain job site logs, including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and safety documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections in line with Champion's safety protocols.
  • Facilitate or conduct routine toolbox talks with all job site trades.
  • Travel across the region to oversee various job sites.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preference for candidates familiar with local building codes, including but not limited to 2009 IRC, UPC, IMC, and 2011 NEC.
  • A minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including residential construction and managing work crews or similar roles.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and knowledge of required PPE for various tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawing prints.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check. DOT knowledge is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of performing physical tasks, lifting tools and materials, and engaging in construction-related work.
