We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Endoscopy Nurse Specialist to join our team at Memorial Healthcare System. As a key member of our endoscopy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the pediatric endoscopy unit, ensuring the highest level of care and compassion for our patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure performance, and post-procedure recovery.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their medical history, diagnosis, and treatment goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify potential risks and complications, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Florida.
- Minimum one year of experience in pediatric endoscopy or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric endoscopy procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a sterile environment, with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and potential for physical assault. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients as needed, and work effectively in a team environment.
