About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Registration Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate patient registration.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients to collect all necessary account information
  • Verify insurance coverage and calculate patient liability amounts
  • Ensure all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment
  • Answer questions and explain policies clearly
  • Check physician orders and attach them to patient records
  • Print and distribute required paperwork to units or departments
  • Escort patients to their designated areas or refer them to available escorts as needed

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Essential functions include checking physician orders, verifying insurance, and accurately entering authorization information
  • Familiarity with guidelines and instructions from senior staff
