- We are looking for a Pediatrician with hospital experience or a Pediatric ER Fellowship-Trained Physician.
- This position is dedicated exclusively to the Pediatric ER, while Pediatric Hospitalists manage the pediatric floor and Pediatric Intensivists supervise the PICU. The committed team consists of pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatricians, physician assistants, scribes, and pediatric social workers.
- The full-time role requires twelve 12-hour shifts each month, totaling 1728 hours annually. Shifts include both day and night rotations throughout the month.
- Sunrise Children's Hospital features a cutting-edge pediatric ER within its tertiary-care facility.
- Patient volume fluctuates daily, with the ER accommodating approximately 55K visits each year.
- Comprehensive subspecialty coverage, including Neurosurgery, is accessible alongside standard care.
- The Pediatric surgeons demonstrate responsiveness and a progressive approach.
- Child life and pediatric social work services are well-integrated within the ER environment.
- Full scribe support is available.
- Responsibilities include conducting rapid medical assessments in triage settings, addressing low and moderate acuity patients in the pediatric fast track area and main pediatric emergency department.
