Job Title: Structural Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team at LaborOne Staffing. As a Structural Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting structural, plate, and mechanical materials into various assemblies. This is a skilled position that requires experience and a strong working knowledge of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools.

Responsibilities:

* Read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols to derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure.
* Unload, sort, and stack heavy steel pieces, then hoist each one into the proper place for fastening.
* Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for jackets and decks.
* Lay out and fit pipe, beams, decks, and jackets; frame skids, bends, and elevations for jackets; cut plate, pipe, and beams using a cutting torch.
* Use Come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industry tools and equipment, and install, use, and remove stop plates, dogs, and pad eyes.
* Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
* Strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
* Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
* Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools as well as measurement tools.

Working Conditions:

* Able to meet all physical requirements.
* Must have all required tools.
* Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
* Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
