Join Our Team as a SEL CoordinatorDepartment/Location: Programming
Reports to: Social Emotional Learning Program Manager
Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and implement Social Emotional Learning initiatives aimed at fostering student development.
  • Support students in managing their emotions, building relationships, and making informed decisions.
  • Oversee programs focused on Bullying Prevention, Substance Abuse Prevention, Character Development, Mentoring, and Life Skills.
  • Develop a trauma-informed framework in partnership with staff, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Administer engaging educational programs tailored for members.
  • Deliver the Passport to Manhood curriculum and provide mentorship to designated members.
  • Collaborate with families and social service agencies as needed.
  • Monitor and document members' progress, generating statistical reports as required.
  • Comply with professional standards and grant reporting obligations.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related discipline.
    • Experience in Social & Emotional Learning with youth.
    • Excellent communication and computer proficiency.
    • CPR certification and teaching experience are preferred.
    • Ability to manage disciplinary issues and enforce policies impartially.
    • Valid driver's license for travel purposes.
    Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
    • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and visual capabilities.
