Job Summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Telehealth Technician/LPN to provide high-quality patient care and support in our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). As a Telehealth Technician/LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic, as directed by physician or mid-level provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients via telehealth modalities, including Clinical Video Teleconferencing (CVT), Care Coordination Store and Forward (CCSF), and others.
  • Collaborate with the core PACT Team (Primary Care Provider, RN, and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team to develop patient care plans.
  • Actively assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests via telehealth modalities.
  • Oversee telehealth appointment scheduling and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts with parent VAMC subject matter experts.
  • Perform annual and routine nursing assessments, including interviewing and collecting patient information, and records information in patient's electronic medical record.
  • Administer medications, as appropriate or ordered by a medical provider, and notes time and amount in patients' electronic charts.
  • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other diagnostic equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests and treatments.
  • Clean treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies using approved manufacturer wipes and/or solutions.
  • Submit laboratory and radiology results to medical providers and provide private practice results to VA for scanning or scanning results into patient's medical records.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate of an accredited program of practical or vocational nursing as approved by the state.
  • Minimum one-year experience as an LPN/LVN in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting; government healthcare environment preferred.
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment or in any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
