Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Advisor to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. As a key member of our Utilization Management Committee, you will play a critical role in evaluating trends, identifying challenges, and developing plans to address them.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate utilization trends and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement plans to address challenges and improve performance
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Utilization Management Committee
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective utilization management
Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Utilization Management knowledge and experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Managed Care Medical Director experience, prior Physician Advisor experience in an acute care hospital setting, Emergency Department Leadership experience, Medical Director of an Observation Unit experience
