Description:
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, the Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Residential is responsible for providing assistance, skill enhancement, and related services to individuals residing at the South Street Group Home.
The DSP-Residential executes Residential Treatment Plans, engages in daily activities with residents, and aids in the effective operation of the group home.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 DIRECT SERVICE
Engages in daily skill development with residents concerning personal care, independent living, and community engagement. Ensures adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures while communicating in a respectful manner that promotes independence.
2.0 PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Contributes as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Aids in the formulation of treatment plans, attends staff meetings as directed by the supervisor, and provides case management as assigned. Acts as an advocate for the residents.
3.0 RECORDKEEPING
Maintains all required documentation in accordance with policy and procedure. Submits documentation for payroll, client records, incident reports, and other daily functions accurately and promptly. Keeps medical administration certification current and documents protocols in a timely manner.
4.0 HOUSEKEEPING
Performs assigned housekeeping and cleaning tasks. Reports any issues with the facility, furnishings, vehicles, or grounds to the supervisor without delay.
- Additionally, performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field is preferred.
LICENSE REQUIRED:
A valid driver's license is necessary.
COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:
Proficiency in typing and navigation
