The Specialized Skills Instructor role at Gro HR Consulting is a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Day Services Program focuses on enhancing independence through social networking, friendship development, and community engagement.

As a valued member of our team, you will provide personalized support, teaching, and guidance to a group of young people with autism without a developmental disability. Your expertise will be utilized to assess individual training needs, develop tailored teaching programs, and monitor progress through data collection.

We are seeking a dedicated professional who can adapt their interests and skills to teach others new abilities, such as art, music, cooking, or health and fitness. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing community-based activities that promote socialization and skill-building.

Our ideal candidate possesses a high school diploma (a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred) and has at least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. A passion for empowering individuals and a dedication to our mission are essential qualities for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing teaching programs

  • Adapting interests to teach others new skills
  • Developing and implementing community-based activities
