Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, perform various tasks, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
  • Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions
  • Process prescriptions, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring the pharmacy is stocked with adequate supplies and clean, neat, and orderly
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, providing a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members
  • Attend training requested by Manager and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
