Job Overview

Job Overview:

As the Culinary Operations Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the effective management of the Culinary Department within our organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation and cooking of a variety of food items, crafting daily menu selections, and ensuring proper presentation and garnishment. You will also assist in supervising kitchen staff and collaborating with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus and manage inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing budgetary controls and overseeing expenditures.
  • Assist in menu planning and development.
  • Coordinate and execute catering events.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certification.
  • Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management, based on formal education or training.
  • Experience in catering is advantageous.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex food service operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost management, and presentation.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and internet usage.
  • Willingness to engage in programs aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
