Role Overview: The Automotive Service Consultant operates within the service division, coordinating the maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles at the dealership. This role involves meticulous tracking and addressing vehicle issues, achieving established service sales goals, and executing essential administrative duties with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect both new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring proper documentation and labeling upon delivery.
- Conduct thorough research on vehicle history, titles, and recall statuses to determine eligibility for sale.
- Monitor inventory for any open recalls or service campaigns.
- Verify the accuracy of used vehicle data prior to inspections.
- Engage with Service Contract providers for claim authorizations and ensure compliance with their standards.
- Create, process, and submit warranty claims with the Service Manager's approval and support from the Warranty Department.
- Provide pricing and availability information for manufacturer and dealer accessories, updating vehicle pricing accordingly.
- Manage dispatch and processing of PDI repair orders, used vehicle inspections, and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) assessments.
- Oversee Dealer Plate Inventory and perform various related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a service advisor or equivalent technical training.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications are preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, consistently achieving or surpassing targets.
- Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
