Position Overview

The Buyer will play a crucial role in managing procurement and purchasing operations for the assigned region. This position involves close collaboration with various departments including Operations, Supply Chain Category Management, Accounts Payable, and warehouse personnel to ensure compliance with requisition and purchase order protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize purchasing activities.
  • Issue requisitions and purchase orders based on established contract pricing.
  • Source goods and services while ensuring adherence to quoting procedures.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and lead times.
  • Monitor and track capital purchases accurately.
Collaboration and Support

This role requires working under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager, ensuring that all procurement activities align with company objectives and industry best practices. The Buyer will also support operational areas by maintaining effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to achieving organizational goals. Experience in the onshore drilling industry is preferred.
