Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Assembly Technician to join our team in Pittsfield, MA. This role will involve building and wiring production assemblies, repairing and replacing hardware, and assisting in the development of future production assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and wire production assemblies
  • R&R hardware and assist in the development of future production assemblies
  • Operate various computer programs related to their position for time recording, access to shop planning and business instructions
  • Read, interpret and work to; drawings, schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, travelers, planning and verbal directions
  • Set up and maintain workstation and related materials, includes set up of solder and cleaning stations, control of age controlled items and hazardous materials and consumables
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Related experience and/or training desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively with other employees of the organization
Working Conditions

The employee may be exposed to some variation in work area temperature, moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
