Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse Intermediate Cardiac plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN coordinates and delivers pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serves as an advocate for patients, and supports an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assess Patient Condition: The RN assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform Procedures: The RN performs procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document Care: The RN documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Administer Medications: The RN performs the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Maintain Knowledge: The RN maintains a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support: Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support: Must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse: Must be a registered nurse with an Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
