We are looking for a dedicated professional with experience in surgical services, particularly in orthopedic surgery and trauma care. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, making sound judgments and decisions based on evidence-based practice and standards of care.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and timely discharges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering open communication and trust.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to UC Davis Health's policies and procedures.
Requirements:**
- DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current California RN license without restrictions.
- California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License.
- DEA certificate within 3 months of hire.
- AHA BLS or UC Davis Health CPR certification.
- National NP board certification in aligned specialty.
- ACLS within 7 days of hire.
- Minimum one year of experience as an ED or inpatient surgical service Nurse Practitioner.
