Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Senior Flooring Estimation Specialist to enhance our estimating team. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in multifamily flooring estimation, including take-offs, vendor pricing, bids, and submittals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor the estimating team to ensure the delivery of precise take-offs, bids, and submittals.
  • Generate comprehensive estimates for multifamily projects.
  • Thoroughly review all documentation included in the bid package.
  • Define and quantify the complete scope of work for each estimate.
  • Engage with external vendors to secure material pricing.
  • Timely identify and communicate all Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients, maintaining a detailed RFI log for all projects.
  • Prepare and submit complete submittal packages, from initial drafts to final versions.
  • Facilitate project handoff to the construction team.
  • Support project managers in calculating change orders for awarded projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Experienced in evaluating estimators' take-offs and proposals.
  • Familiarity with RFMS Measure or similar estimation software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data management.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in developing junior estimators.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
