Job Summary: DeRoyal is seeking an Injection Mold Operator to join our Royal Precision Plastics Team in Powell, TN. This is a 12-hour shift position with an alternating schedule, working 7 to 7, with every other weekend off. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating injection molding machines, inspecting and packaging products, and maintaining a clean work area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements
  • Inspect and package products from assigned machines
  • Ensure products conform to established specifications
  • Maintain adequate raw materials, packing supplies, and labels on hand at the machines
  • Follow manufacturing work instructions and complete process/product checklists accurately and legibly
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow proper safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Arrive at work on time and comply with company attendance and tardiness policies
  • Get along with co-workers, customers, and company visitors
  • Obeys all rules and performs any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; or less than high school education with 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Due to the nature of the material being used in the facility, provided hairnets must be worn at all times on the manufacturing floor. Most jewelry, false fingernails, and fingernail polish (even clear coat) are prohibited. Beard covers, if applicable, may be required. Protective eyewear is required to be worn at all times when entering the molding work environment. Hearing protection may be required.
