Job Title: Lead Stress Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Stress Engineer to join our team at Cluster. As a key member of our structures team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design and analysis of our products.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the structural integrity of our products.
  • Assess and publish stress analysis documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical design teams, structural testing teams, and integration teams to ensure seamless product development.
  • Conduct structural analyses using classical hand calculations and finite element analysis techniques.
  • Provide guidance and support to the stress team to maintain high-quality analysis work.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience working in the aerospace industry.
  • Previous experience managing or leading an engineering team.
  • Strong understanding of free body diagrams, loading scenarios, and behavior of aircraft components.
  • Experience with aircraft certification, CAD, and hand calculations and FEA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with Femap/Nastran or Abaqus/CAE.
  • Knowledge of FAR Part 23, 27, and 29.
