Pipefitting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitting Specialist to join our team at Strategic Logistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining piping systems in various industrial settings.

As a Pipefitting Specialist, you will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure project requirements are met within set timelines. You will also be responsible for collaborating with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

1. Read and Interpret Blueprints: Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of the piping systems.
2. Assemble and Install Pipes: Cut, bend, and thread pipes to required specifications, join pipes using various techniques (e.g., welding, threading, brazing), and install piping in assigned locations.
3. Inspect and Test Piping Systems: Test installed systems for leaks, structural integrity, and safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
4. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal system operation and perform repairs on malfunctioning systems as needed.
5. Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure safe working environments and to minimize risks related to working with hazardous materials and equipment.

• Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; certification or apprenticeship in pipe fitting or plumbing is often preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using pipe-fitting tools and equipment, such as welding machines, pipe cutters, and threading tools.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements and fitting, with a strong understanding of safety standards and regulations.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for advancement.
