Nursery Nurse

About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care to mothers, newborns, and gynecological surgery patients in our 15-bed Family Birthing Suites.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Deliver safe and reliable patient care in coordination with the healthcare team.
  
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum patients, and Newborns.
  
• Administer medications and nursing treatments within scope of practice.
  
• Participate in patient education and provide teaching strategies appropriate to the patient's age-specific needs.
  
• Integrate preventative health maintenance into the education plan.
  
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve patient care outcomes and goals of care.
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
  
• Valid driver's license for work-related driving.
  
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (BSN within 5 years of hire).
  
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in the manual skills and techniques required for nursing procedures.
