We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our home health team at LifeSpring Home Care. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Previous experience in occupational therapy is required, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy in accordance with the physician's plan of care, ensuring that clients receive high-quality treatment and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Evaluate and assess client functioning by applying diagnostic and prognostic procedures and tests, assisting in the development and revision of the plan of care as needed.
  • Supervise occupational therapy assistants assigned to your license, ensuring that they meet licensing board requirements, payer requirements, and agency policies.
  • Treat clients through therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities, improving overall function and quality of life.
  • Instruct and advise clients and family members on exercise programs designed to increase strength and control, demonstrating alternate techniques for completing activities of daily living, proper transfers, and positioning.
  • Evaluate and reevaluate client therapy needs regularly, developing, implementing, and revising the client's plan of care accordingly.
  • Teach, supervise, and counsel clients and family members regarding home rehabilitation procedures and other care needs as appropriate to the client's condition.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain individualized client care progress records with accuracy, timeliness, and according to policies.
Requirements
  • Occupational therapist licensed in the state where you will be working.
  • A minimum of 6 months of occupational therapy experience in a similar setting.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
