Lead Janitor

The Lead Janitor is a key role within AKHI LLC, responsible for overseeing the janitorial services and supervising a team of janitors. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

• Supervise and train janitorial staff to ensure high-quality service and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Plan and assign work tasks to ensure efficient use of resources and meet customer expectations.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, and safety precautions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working in a team environment and outsourced support teams.
• Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.

Able to work in indoor and outdoor locations, subject to confined spaces and changes in temperature and weather conditions.
