Dishwasher - Salt + Smoke

About the Role:

The Dishwasher is a vital member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our dining establishment. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in your work, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and storage of all china, glassware, and silverware by adhering to all sanitation standards.
• Operate the dishwashing machine, including proper rack stacking and silver presoaking.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans, kitchen utensils, glasses, silverware, and other equipment.
• Maintain the mop station with mops, buckets, brooms, and cleaning solutions.
• Sweep and mop floors, keeping them clean and dry.
• Operate the steam cleaner, mop, and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Clean walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats, and disposal areas.
• Polish stainless steel and clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, flat boxes, and ceiling vents according to schedule or as directed.
• Empty all trash cans, wash them out, and return them to the kitchen.
• Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Understand and comply with proper cleaning techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be organized and capable of multi-tasking with efficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods in varied climate conditions.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel locally for outside catering functions as needed.
