Fox Run is a picturesque 108-acre continuing care retirement community in Novi, Michigan, part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses across multiple states.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $50,000 annually

We are seeking Culinary Supervisors who can infuse their enthusiasm for exceptional cuisine, collaboration, and culinary expertise into our fine dining establishments. Our Signature Dining program champions scratch cooking and chef-inspired culinary creations that distinguish us from our competitors.

How you will make an impact:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation to ensure timely service of resident meals.
  • Direct the preparation and service accuracy for all planned menu items, including adherence to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, food quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasting.
  • Supervise the scheduling, training, and performance management of all culinary and utility staff. The culinary supervisor will assume all culinary responsibilities in the absence of the head chef, including staffing, food production, utility management, and kitchen sanitation.
  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen, storage spaces, and loading docks.

What you will need:
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-service culinary experience.
  • A minimum of 6 months of supervisory and coaching experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; graduation from a certified culinary program or college preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to work in extreme temperatures, including transitioning from hot kitchen environments to refrigerators and freezers.
  • Able to work some weekends and holidays.
