Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide direct clinical patient care and assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. This role will also supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and is accountable for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Support the CNO in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to nursing care.
