Key Responsibilities of a Commercial Tire Road Service Technician:

In accordance with TIA Commercial guidelines, your tasks will include:

  • Operating heavy-duty service vehicles and necessary tools
  • Removing, installing, rotating, and balancing commercial tires both in the shop and at client locations
  • Assessing tire conditions to determine if repair or replacement is necessary
  • Conducting fleet inspections at customer sites to provide tire recommendations for optimal fleet performance
  • Performing on-site tire fleet services to manage tire specifications
  • Executing Emergency Road Service for tire repairs or replacements
  • Documenting services performed on-site and submitting reports to Sales
  • Communicating fleet requirements effectively with Service and Sales teams
  • Optional night and weekend fleet work available for additional compensation

Equipment Responsibilities:

  • Operating a heavy-duty tire service vehicle
  • Maintaining the assigned service vehicle for preventive care and appearance
  • Safely raising and lowering vehicles using hydraulic or floor jacks
  • Operating all shop machinery safely, including safety cages, spreaders, balancers, floor jacks or lifts, air-powered tools, and torque wrenches
  • Utilizing and maintaining diagnostic equipment

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary
  • Positive demeanor and ability to interact well with colleagues and customers
