We are seeking skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses (L&D RNs) to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced L&D RNs to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional care to patients during childbirth.

Job Overview

Labor and Delivery RNs play a vital role in ensuring the medical and emotional well-being of patients throughout the birthing process. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients throughout labor, tracking contractions and assisting with breathing techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular checks on the cervix to assess progression or lack of dilation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and properly disposing of bodily fluids.
  • Assist physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, and other essential equipment.
  • Provide immediate care to newborns, ensuring their health and well-being.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A valid BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS and AWHONN certifications.
  • At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
