Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Lead to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. This is a full-time opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse leader who can provide exceptional patient care and support to our nursing staff.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years acute care nursing experience and prior leadership experience, with current valid Florida State Board of Nursing Registered Professional Nurse license and AHA BLS and ACLS certification. They will be responsible for supervising and coordinating patient care delivery on the assigned nursing units, completing concurrent chart audits, and ensuring that errors and omissions are corrected in a timely manner.

In addition to their clinical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. They will also have a strong commitment to quality patient care and a passion for leading and developing a high-performing nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates patient care delivery on the assigned nursing units.
  • Completes concurrent chart audits to ensure accurate and complete charting.
  • Corrects errors and omissions in a timely manner.
  • Courses staff educational needs and provides coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans and reviews.
