About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our team at KBR. As a CAD Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed drawings and tracings using the latest CAD systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed drawings and tracings using CAD systems
  • Operate plotters and other output devices to generate hard copies of drawing files
  • Perform design preparation activities, including PC board path layout and configuration, internal and external packaging, and control panel layouts
  • Maintain CAD files and ensure they are properly managed, updated, and stored in accordance with company guidelines
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical team members to understand design requirements and specifications
  • Implement revisions to designs as directed by engineers or supervisors
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and specifications before submission for review or use in further engineering activities
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years technical drafting/design training from an accredited technical school or military training
  • 4 years prior drafting experience
  • Experience managing similar USG projects of size, scope, and complexity, preferably with NRO experience
  • Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years technical drafting/design training from an accredited technical school or military training
  • Experience managing similar USG projects of size, scope, and complexity
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
Clearance

Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
