POSITION SUMMARY

The HVAC Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the optimal performance of all HVAC systems across designated properties. This includes diagnosing and rectifying equipment failures, as well as performing repairs and replacements of malfunctioning components and wiring. The role requires the ability to conduct intermediate to advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and analyze the causes of equipment malfunctions.
  • Utilize appropriate instruments to test components.
  • Disassemble and reassemble parts, executing necessary repairs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in disassembling and rebuilding split casing water pumps.
  • Execute brazing and soldering of piping systems.
  • Possess operational knowledge of DDC control systems.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Oversee comprehensive testing, programming, startup, commissioning, and servicing of assigned projects.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintain open lines of communication.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certification in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, along with five years of relevant experience; or seven years of related experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, equipment submittals, electrical schematics, parts catalogs, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand various forms of instructions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities, including report writing and effective presentation skills.
  • Capability to perform calculations related to square footage, building loads, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DDC Control Systems.
  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a full-time, on-site role.
  • On-call and overtime may be necessary.
