Job Overview

As a Bartender at JACKMONT HOSPITALITY INC, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our Guests by mixing and serving a variety of drinks, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized bar area, as well as provide a welcoming atmosphere for our Guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • ID Verification

Verify the age of Guests ordering alcoholic beverages to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Bar Ambiance

Maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the bar area, ensuring that Guests feel comfortable and at ease.

Drink Preparation

Prepare, garnish, and serve drinks to Guests in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to standard recipes and company policies.

Guest Engagement

Develop a personal touch with repeat Guests by learning their names, favorite drinks, and preferences, providing a personalized experience.

Food Coordination

Coordinate food orders from Guests seated in the bar area with the kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.

Menu Knowledge

Develop a thorough knowledge of the menu and make recommendations to Guests when appropriate, enhancing their dining experience.

Upselling

Upsell Guests on food or drink items where appropriate, increasing average ticket sales and enhancing revenue.

Bar Maintenance

Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained, adhering to company standards.

Point of Sale

Accurately ring up all orders in the Point of Sale system, ensuring accurate transactions and minimizing errors.

Service Standards

Adhere to all relevant brand standards for service, ensuring a consistent and exceptional Guest experience.

Qualification Requirements
  • Appearance and Grooming

Present a neat and well-groomed appearance at all times, adhering to company-approved uniform standards.

Technical Skills

Operate the Point of Sale system, make change correctly, and process credit card transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Conflict Resolution

Respond calmly and professionally to angry Guests, escalating issues to management as necessary.

Bar Validation

Pass bar validation requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Communication

Respond clearly and effectively to Guests' requests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Physical Demands

Frequently lift 30-pound cases and carry them short distances, up or down stairs, as required.
