Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Cashier to join our team. This part-time role is essential in maintaining high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.

Location: Canteen, part of Compass Group, North America.

Schedule: Flexible hours available, including weekends. Specific scheduling details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements: No prior experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.

Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $14.50 to $15.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to every guest, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage and authorize customer transactions, including returns and exchanges, while maintaining accurate cash control.
  • Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other team members.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and manage change efficiently.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and support loss prevention strategies.
  • Oversee cashier schedules and performance, addressing any issues with management.
  • Maintain front-end supplies and assist with merchandising as needed.
  • Step in to cover cashier shifts when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
