Job Title: Clinic CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Clinic CT Technologist to join our team in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate CT equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and provide exceptional patient care. As a Clinic CT Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Competently operating CT equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures
  • Obtaining medical history from patients and comparing requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy
  • Positioning patients and selecting proper scanning factors, adjusting factors to attain the appropriate images, and providing radiation protection and safety
  • Preparing and administering contrast media under the direction of the physician, and assisting in the proper scanning techniques
  • Maintaining records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and entering patient and study information into the radiology information system
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. You must also be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
