Job Title: Specimen Collector

The Specimen Collector is a vital role within Aegis Sciences Corporation, responsible for collecting biological specimens at client sites for scientific testing purposes. This position requires maintaining the integrity of the collection process, recording data for reporting, verifying insurance information, and packaging specimens for shipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Communication: Foster open communication between clients and Aegis Sales Management.
  • Sample Collection: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample collection, ensuring the integrity of each 'Chain of Custody' and sample.
  • Sample Requisitions: Ensure sample requisitions are complete and accurate, utilizing Electronic Lab Requisitions (ELR) for submissions.
  • Compliance and Safety: Complete required Compliance Training, adhere to safety protocols, and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and manage budget with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance information through Passport as required.
  • Payment Collection: Request and collect payment from patients (where applicable).
  • Communication and Teamwork: Maintain regular communication with Regional Sales Manager and Area Sales Manager, support marketing and sales objectives, and participate in process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain quality and confidentiality, excellent customer service skills, and basic computer knowledge.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in the medical field, knowledge of Windows operating system, and preferred experience with tablets and stylus.
Schedule:

Full-time, up to 32 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 7:15am-4:00pm.
