Job Overview

VPT Inc., a leading provider of power conversion solutions, is seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join their team in Blacksburg, VA.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and mechanical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities include operating machinery, reviewing and assembling items, and performing automated testing and screening of production parts.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0 - 1 year of general work experience
  • Experience interpreting schematics, drawing, diagrams, and other visual aids for assembly
  • Experience using tools to assemble or repair parts and products

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 1 -2 years of experience in electronic assembly operations
  • Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology/Technician Degree
  • Proficiency with commonly used hand tools and/or power tools used in a machine shop setting
  • Soldering experience (J-STD or IPC-610 Soldering Certification)
