Job Title: Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Peoria Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics to high school students and will be expected to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics to high school students, including algebra, geometry, and calculus
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mathematics education
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
  • Valid Illinois teaching certificate
  • Experience teaching mathematics to high school students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administrators
