We are seeking a qualified
Traveling Universal Banker. This position entails traveling across various branches within our operational area.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional service across a broad spectrum of financial offerings.

This role is also tasked with the promotion and management of all credit union products and services, with an emphasis on cultivating relationships and enhancing Teachers Credit Union's market presence.

Travel between assigned branches to provide necessary support as required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uphold a high standard of member service in alignment with Teachers Credit Union's Service Expectations.
  • Execute a wide range of member service tasks accurately and promptly. These tasks may encompass cash handling, financial transactions, account management, initiating new accounts, operating an ITM (Interactive Teller Machine), and assisting the MCC (Member Contact Center).
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding member account details.
  • Achieve or surpass established referral and sales targets by engaging in active listening, posing open-ended questions, promoting products, or directing members to the appropriate resources.
  • Participate in outbound call initiatives by reviewing, updating, and contacting prospective members, as well as following up on outreach campaigns.
  • May take on additional retail responsibilities such as drawer audits, member account management, and vault operations.
  • Adhere to credit union policies regarding Check Cashing, Cash Control, and Transaction Approval Limits, including regulations such as Reg CC, SAR, CTR, and BSA.
  • Volunteer for special projects within the scope of job duties.
  • Address issues through research, employing open-ended inquiries, and consistent follow-up to guarantee member satisfaction.
  • Assume further duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisors/managers to support the ongoing growth and development of the Credit Union.
Required Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills essential for engaging with members in a professional setting, including effective listening and communication abilities.
  • Capability to proactively resolve issues by demonstrating empathy and concern while seeking solutions that benefit both the member and Teachers Credit Union.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Teachers Credit Union products with a solid grasp of needs-based selling techniques.
  • Proficient in cash handling practices.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, diverse, and universal work environment.
  • General proficiency in various computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally due to handling coin bags and boxes.
Accountability

  • Utilize product knowledge to cross-sell and effectively communicate product features to both staff and members.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of needs-based selling and apply Relationship Building techniques in accordance with Teachers Credit Union's Sales Process.
  • Make daily decisions within established guidelines set by supervisors/managers, achieving performance goals while maintaining a positive representation of the Credit Union.
  • Understand and apply Teachers Credit Union policies and procedures related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML, CIP, and OFAC).
  • Implement all identified security measures concerning cash, checks, and account management.
  • Be accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • Preferred: Six months of retail sales and/or cash handling experience or equivalent experience within a financial institution or related field.
