Position Summary
We are seeking a **Senior Electrical Engineer** to contribute to our operations at the Turquoise Ridge complex, part of Barrick Gold. This role is pivotal in overseeing maintenance functions across Process, Surface, and Underground sectors, with a focus on medium and low voltage systems. The successful candidate will ensure that construction projects comply with specifications and safety protocols while fostering a secure work environment that reflects our commitment to employee welfare and community sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design, calculations, and analytical assessments
- Manage Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes while providing essential training
- Lead RCA and RCM evaluations, formulating recommendations for risk reduction
- Provide technical guidance on power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation
- Supervise the implementation of maintenance strategies and plans
- Collaborate with design consultants to ensure project adherence
- Oversee construction, commissioning, and successful project execution
- Contribute to electrical equipment shutdown procedures
- Act as a supervisory backup when necessary
- Engage in networking opportunities for ongoing professional development
- Execute other assigned responsibilities as required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proficient in RCA and RCM methodologies
- Professional Engineer license is preferred
- Experience in project management is advantageous
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices
- A minimum of three years of field experience in maintenance or project engineering
- Proficient in computer applications
- Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to health and safety
- Experience in contract management
