Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Graystone Family Dental. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing quality dental care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup
• Conduct oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients
• Take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes
• Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dental care

Requirements:

• Proficiency in dental software systems, such as Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for capturing dental x-rays
• Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients on oral health practices in a clear and concise manner
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of patient information
• Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with dentists, dental assistants, and administrative staff
