Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Tampico Healthcare Center. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Job Summary:Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant will perform individually assigned care activities for chronically ill and technologically dependent residents based on established resident care policies and procedures. The CNA will participate in resident care as an active member of the healthcare delivery team, monitoring vital signs, providing hygiene and comfort measures, and assisting with medical procedures and nutritional needs.
Responsibilities:- Provides patient care in a manner conducive to safety and comfort, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), obtaining and recording vital signs and weights, and assisting patients with ambulation and transfers.
- Makes occupied and unoccupied beds, accompanies patients during transportation, and ensures patients are ready for scheduled rehab therapy.
- Notifies licensed nurses if patient identification is missing, participates in care planning, and implements care according to care plan.
- Applies simple clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages under the direction of the licensed nurse, feeds or assists patients with meals, and records patient's oral intake and output.
- Uses electronic medical records, answers call lights or bells promptly, delivers messages, and cleans areas of spillage or accidents.
- Participates in the orientation of new nursing assistants, reports changes in patient condition, and collects and bags soiled linen.
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current BCLS certification
- No prior CNA experience required; new grads welcome
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside patient care services, as permitted by state regulation
