Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance and Engineering team at Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis-based subsidiary of Grundfos. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our property grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, analyze root causes, and determine the sequence of steps needed for effective repair.
  • Perform preventive maintenance per schedules to ensure the longevity of building systems and equipment.
  • Assist subcontractors and maintenance technicians as required.
  • Perform manual and electronic record keeping and information retrieval functions.
  • Maintain grounds, including grass cutting, snow removal, security lighting, and general upkeep.
  • Prioritize maintenance requests and work based on urgency and severity.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance/Facilities Manager and Environmental Health and Safety in regards to inspections and repairs.
  • Move materials as required, pick up or deliver materials using a car/truck or forklift.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent required.
  • Vocational or technical school in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and equipment required to perform tasks.
  • Able to be certified in the usage of Forklifts, Hazardous Materials, and Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, squat, sit, walk, and stand.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and software.
  • Positive and professional attitude to communicate effectively when addressing maintenance concerns, providing updates, and explaining needed repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities.
