Job Summary:

University Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated nursing professional to join our Primary Care team. This Registered Nurse position provides direct patient care, telephone triage, and patient education to the students of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. RNs collaborate with different members of the interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans, complete assessments, delegate, and provide necessary patient care. This position offers an opportunity for remote work after successful onboarding.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary Care Provision: Provides professional nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure physical and mental well-being.
  • Treatment Planning and Evaluation: Evaluates current care plans, completes assessments, develops specialized treatment plans, documents medical activity, and analyzes patient data and results to help diagnosis and treat illnesses and diseases.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educates patients and their support systems on how to manage conditions and to promote the health and well-being of patients and those around them.
  • Research and Collaboration: Participates in medical research as needed in collaboration with medical professionals and internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
  • License and Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or RN license issued by Compact State, Current CPR/BLS certification, National Provider Identifier (NPI) eligibility
  • Experience: 3 years experience as a registered nurse in an ambulatory clinic setting (Preferred)
