Embedded Signal Processing Algorithm Engineer

About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced algorithm engineer to design, implement, and optimize core algorithms for next-generation sensors. You will work with other partners such as algorithm, hardware, and firmware teams to take complex algorithms from proof of concept all the way to shipping in products that are used by millions of customers every day.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize core algorithms for next-generation sensors
- Work with algorithm, hardware, and firmware teams to take complex algorithms from proof of concept to shipping
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop and implement novel signal processing algorithms
- 3+ years of experience in developing, optimizing, and implementing complex algorithms on resource-constrained platforms
- Strong theoretical knowledge of fundamental DSP concepts such as Adaptive filtering, linear algebra, and statistics
- Background in numerical methods and techniques, especially as relates to stability in real-time DSP algorithms
- Strong software programming skills in C/C++, Python
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
- Experience with sensing hardware
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as more benefits, including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
